Ed Cross is delighted to present And The World Goes By, a series of new ink drawings by Wole Lagunju in Gallery 2 alongside Re in Gallery 1.

Created in a process akin to automatic drawing, Lagunju’s works on paper have always constituted a pressure valve for his altogether more considered (and explicitly political) painting practice. Building on his 2020 solo with the gallery, We All Live Here, these latest drawings expand the artist's subconscious cast of characters: solid and smudgy, unfamiliar yet unmistakable, they crowd their small exhibition space, inviting viewers across its dreamy threshold.
